Where do sessions and consultations take place?
Sessions can take place virtually or face-to-face, it is just a matter of personal preference.
Some clients prefer virtual meetings (via Teams or Google Meet or Zoom) as it is more convenient and nice to attend in the comfort of your own home, as well as that, it's cheaper due to less travelling and no requirement for room hire.
Other clients prefer face-to-face sessions due to the more personal nature of being face-to-face. If this option is favoured, please consider that the hiring of rooms for the consultation will incur an extra charge for the client.
If you would like to discuss your options with Isaac, please get in touch here.
Can parents and coaches attend sessions with their athletes?
Whether or not parents or coaches attend a session is down to the Athlete's discretion. Often, individuals may find it harder to disclose information to a psychologist in the presence of others. However, if the client feels as though having a parent or coach in the session would help them overcome their challenges then they might be encouraged to attend with the individual. Please ensure that as a parent or a coach, you respect and understand the individual's thoughts, feelings and confidentiality.
Will I have to sign anything before a session?
Before the initial consultation, Isaac will email you our privacy policy and client agreement. Please ensure you read it thoroughly and provide any information when asked in the client agreement.
If you are a parent interested in a session for your child (under 18), you will have to provide consent on their behalf. This will be made clear in the privacy policy and client agreement.
